Symbology

Sanctity Hotel Rancho Cucamonga proudly showcases original pieces by Mexico City–based artist and yogi Enrique de Anda, whose works infuse the interiors with a spiritual and meditative presence. His art—which ranges from abstract to figurative—connects with the hotel's elemental theme and brings soulful depth to public spaces and guest rooms.

SERIGALA PAINTING

Serigala is the name given to this work, and its translation is "wolf" in Indonesian. The piece depicts a wolf standing before a child in the depths of the forest, symbolizing selfdiscovery. Nature serves as the perfect setting to find inner peace, and the wolf stands as a reminder of this connection.

TUNDRA TABLE

This coffee table design is inspired by Mother Earth, who at times reveals the dewdrops of dawn in a summer forest—a gift for those who cherish the beauty of nature. It is, therefore, suggested to cultivate the virtue of gratitude.

GYAN HAND SCULPTURE

This piece symbolizes wisdom and self-awareness. The illuminated sphere it holds represents the light that resides within every human being. It was created on a large scale to emphasize the importance of keeping this idea alive within each of us.

BUDDHA

This piece is born from the artist's appreciation of Eastern culture and Buddhist philosophy. Our founder and designer, Architect Carlos de Anda, often reminded us of the importance of striving for perfection within ourselves through self-awareness. While the pursuit of enlightenment may seem somewhat ambitious, it is a divine right bestowed upon every being.

DIAMOND SUNSET PAINTING

This piece is inspired by the sunsets the architect used to admire from the terrace of his apartment in Acapulco. He felt a profound respect for the sun, which over the years he represented countless times in his work. The sun sustains our very existence, and from this arises his deep gratitude for this magnificent star.

EMPATHY PAINTING

This artwork, crafted by our designer and current artist Enrique de Anda, takes inspiration from the renowned photographer Gregory Colbert. Driven by a profound admiration for animals and a heartfelt connection to them, Enrique chose to portray an elephant in high relief. Representing wisdom, strength, and resilience, the elephant serves as a powerful symbol of the qualities we, as humans, should aspire to cultivate within ourselves.

DOLPHINS PAINTING

This artwork is inspired by the love that María Isabel (the "deceased" sister of our artist Enrique de Anda) had, especially for these beautiful aquatic animals, who symbolize intelligence—particularly the kind of intelligence that humanity needs to develop in order to treat our seas and oceans with respect. It was created in high relief to highlight their beauty and grace as they cross the ocean.

MOON PAINTING WITH BALLOONS

The sun patiently waits for the moon at every sunset and bids it farewell during the night. The moon is represented as a balloon, reminding the artist of pleasant moments from his childhood, when releasing a balloon allowed him to gaze at the sky in an innocent way—a characteristic of every human being during childhood, which is suggested to be maintained throughout our existence.

GIFAFFES

This piece is inspired by the deep spiritual essence carried by this animal, which serves as a reminder of the true meaning of "opportunity." The animal often appears in unexpected ways in its natural habitat, highlighting the importance of staying present (on an inner level) to seize the opportunities life presents. It also symbolizes the strong bond between parent and child.

 MOON PAINTING

Although the moon has been the subject and muse for many artists, what draws the attention of our designer is that it is a satellite that silently and consistently watches over our Earth.

GEOMETRIC GANESH

The name of this artwork was chosen after a Hindu god (the god of wisdom, intelligence, abundance, and prudence). Phonetically, it was the name that resonated most with our artist, Enrique de Anda, who aligns with this Eastern ideology and holds it in high regard. The piece is created using a variety of colors, symbolizing the vibrant hues of our Mother Earth, and is given a geometric shape (particularly the triangle), as this shape forms the foundation of all material composition. It is important to note that this model was a special design for Sancity.

BETELGEUSE CHAIR

This chair is a representation of nature, reflected in the pieces of tree trunk on its sides that embrace us as we sit. The name "Betelgeuse" refers to a star in the Orion constellation. Although the name doesn't have a direct relationship with the design itself, it was chosen to "preserve" the memory of architect Carlos de Anda, who was a passionate lover of cosmic themes.

OM CHANDELIER

"OM" is the sound of the universe, much like an Eastern mantra that aids in meditation. This chandelier was designed to represent the importance of meditation.

HISAN HORSE

The artist (like every human being) goes through moments where misery and pain (hisan in Japanese) are experienced internally. This name was given to a horse, which represents freedom. This work reminds us of the importance of staying free internally. Freedom is a state of consciousness, and remembering it is both a right and a human need that drives away the negative thoughts that harm us..

MALTA PAINTING

As a lover of animals (particularly dogs), our artist Enrique de Anda portrays in this piece the innocence of animals in their interactions, offering a lesson that encourages us to nurture the awareness we need as human beings. The butterfly symbolizes transmutation and transformation, while harmonious human coexistence thrives when we embrace our innocence.

TABLE BUDDHA

This Buddha is represented with illuminated glass cubes, symbolizing the enlightenment of the Hindu god. It stands before a rock with a weathered appearance, symbolizing the passage of time.
